Position Overview
The Transportation Technology Team is tasked with ensuring department technology programs, project, and continuous improvement initiatives are executed effectively and efficiently. Established to be the benchmark for shared services, the role of the Transportation Technology Manager is to evaluate, recommend, and support process and technology changes across the department. As an integral member of the Transportation Technology leadership team, the Transportation Management Systems (TMS) Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of systems analysts, systems administrators, and product specialists.
Job Description
Responsible for the sustainment, continuous improvement, and deployment of the Transportation Management System (TMS) solution globally
Lead the continuous improvement agenda for the TMS solution that includes market engagements, functionality execution, super user training, system upgrades and expansion of the TMS solution globally
responsible for leading a system and process strategy that ensures common information and processes are leveraged to support and optimize the supply chain solution
The individual will work closely with the Global Logistics leadership, Region Logistics leadership and market leaders to quantify savings potential and identify actionable productivity drivers
Lead sustainment activities that include governance and controls of the global TMS solution
Lead the implementation and rolling out an integrated more efficient logistics (transportation and warehouse) solutions in all regions
Lead business process and requirements gathering analysis to ensure global solution fit
Document methodology, business scenarios and test cases resulting from modeling and gap identification
Develop and deliver training material required to implement new systems and procedures
Lead future state work process design and ensure adherence to global process standards within logistics
Lead testing activities and defect resolution from Unit testing through User Acceptance testing
Develop and execute business cutover procedures and lead software deployment activities
Lead the development and delivery of end-user training materials
Support development of the business readiness and change management approach
Provide knowledge transfer of all process and technical information with the sustainment organization
Work closely with IT on all deployment and sustainment activities and ensure all architectural, security and reliability standards are met. As well as to ensure all selected and planned vendor software meets IT architectural, security and reliability standards

Skills
Specialized Knowledge: In depth knowledge of transportation management systems, including configuration, change management processes, regression testing, cutover, and day to day support. Working knowledge of project management methods including facilitation of workshops, coupled with strong written and verbal communication
Special Skills: Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite & PMIS. Solid collaboration and facilitation skills required, Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects in a cross-functional environment, Strong financial acumen, Strong organization skills, especially managing complex projects, with ability to influence others around you, Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform in a dynamic environment.

Years Of Experience
3-5 years of experience with implementing TMS systems
3-5 years of functional and technical design experience
3-5 years of experience with Transportation / Logistics Operations
Broad experience with Supply Chain and Enterprise Application Systems and Solutions
Experience with Transportation and Supply Chain EDI documents and solutions
Experience with Manhattan TMS required. Prior experience with FourKites, Manugistics, and Oracle Scheduler a plus
