C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. Sr. Director, Inventory, Quality and Continuous Improvement in Keene, New Hampshire

Position Overview

The Sr Dir, Quality and Continous Improvement is responsible for developing and leading an inventory and quality reporting and loss analysis team. The team is focused on customer experience with an emphasis on improving quality and developing customer credit programs that mitigate loss. This team will further provide actionable insights to leadership, our field Inventory Control, and Quality Assurance teams, Operations, and external customers.

Job Description

  • Provide customer credit program recommendations setting expectations on the support of these programs through setting audit expectations for internal partners.

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and delivery of recurring and ad hoc inventory reporting and analysis.

  • Identify risks and opportunities in customer experience and provide leadership recommendations on corrective action.

  • Carry out ongoing assessment of content, format, frequency, and recipients to ensure analysis is complete, understandable, and actionable within Inventory Control and related groups.

  • Ensure reporting and analysis team is fully trained on data and system usage and has the extensive business understanding to optimize the use of inventory information.

  • Partner with operational leadership, including warehouse, transportation, and ICQA, to provide guidance and assistance to create, implement, monitor, and control results of coordinated plans and actions to improve inventory performance.

  • Develop and maintain appropriate data sources and databases within Inventory Control and Quality Assurance. Partner with IT to ensure the proper development, capture, and validation of data used in the team's analysis.

  • Assess internal processes and shrink controls within the warehouse, minimizing inventory loss while maximizing efficiency and effectiveness. Communicate findings with the business owner and manage the corrective actions.

  • Ensure the effective management and execution of the following inventory processes; Reconciliation of system balance variances occurring on the transfer of inventory to third-party facilities; Manual data entry of results to supplement automated processes; Resolution of vendor-related issues; Resolution of issues associated with customer product returns

  • Define ICQA reporting and analysis department, recruit, manage and develop employees, including Identification of annual objectives and performance assessment thereof; Provide training and development opportunities consistent with objectives

Skills

  • Specialized Knowledge : Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, Minitab.

  • Special Skills : Strong analytical skills. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written). Strong presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop associates.

Years Of Experience

  • 7-10 : Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience plus Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field required. Experience with loss analysis and/or datamining is preferred. 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferred.
