C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. Supervisor, Transportation OS&D and Financial Reconciliation in Keene, New Hampshire

Position Overview

The Transportation OS&D and Financial Reconciliation Supervisor will lead a team of coordinators who promote the financial accuracy of the Inbound CPU program, as well as oversee the OS&D and cargo claim process. Responsibilities will be inclusive of all claim activity, freight exceptions on vendor invoices, CPU rate maintenance and auditing, and reconciliation of income variances. In addition, this person will work closely with leaders in inbound operations and transportation accounting to ensure that our expected and actual income is reflected accurately on a consistent basis.

Job Description

  • Support the training, capability building, and career growth of all team members.

  • Lead team and hold responsibility for the cargo claim process covering multiple business units, including tracking/reporting/resolution, with proper adherence to predetermined milestones in the claim life cycle.

  • Support team's efforts to minimize past due vendor claims for both freight dollars and OS&D issues.

  • Supervise and champion strategy for team members and hold them accountable to a per-determined set of financial expectations and goals.

  • Working closely with Transportation Procurement, lead the monthly CPU income true-up process so that all frequent variances and exceptions are addressed to minimize re-occurrence.

  • Oversee the entirety of the C&S transportation OS&D process and monitor compliance of team members and internal/external partners, so that proper financial accountability is achieved.

  • Work closely with Transportation Accounting to ensure that the Cargo Claim balance sheet is accurate and represents collectable dollars.

  • Maintain responsibility for systemic maintenance of vendor CPU rates and the accurate collection of CPU income owed from vendors.

Skills

  • Specialized Knowledge: Evidence of strong leadership and motivational capability. Competency in basic accounting principals. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

  • Special Skills: Oral and Written Communication Skills. Strong relationship and network building skills, Analytical ability, Organization and prioritization skills, Strong mathematical and problem solving aptitude

  • Other: Experience with Oracle or like systems, WMS, TMS or supply chain related software a plus

Years Of Experience

  • 2-5 : Related experience in Transportation/Logistics or Accounting
