Job Description

Impact You’ll Make

As a Field Training Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the deployment and implementation of a training experience to drive associate engagement and elevate performance. You will provide guidance and mentorship to local Training Managers and Supervisors. Partnership with operations leadership and other stakeholders is key to driving the execution and sustainability of training initiatives throughout the organization.

Helping cultivate and maintain training initiatives to provide a first-class employee experience focused on performance, safety, quality, and retention. You will establish yourself as an engaging and inclusive leader to maximize productivity, growth, and development.

Travel Expectations

  • This role requires up to 75% travel to sites within an assigned territory. We’re looking for candidates comfortable with traveling on average 3 out of 4 weeks a month and home on weekends. This is subject to change depending on current projects and business needs.

We’re Searching for Candidates With

  • The ability to develop warehouse associates through training and coaching activities resulting in increased performance

  • Applying knowledge of adult learning principles, coaching skills, and innovative learning solutions to elevate the skill set of our associates and influence performance

  • Driving standardization and execution by working collaboratively with onsite training teams. Ensuring training programs are tailored to accommodate site-specific business needs

  • Identifying training needs and recommend appropriate solutions through data analysis and by observing trainers, trainees, and on site leadership

  • Conducting and overseeing training sessions, coaching and mentoring trainers, ensuring employee comprehension and demonstration

  • Leading and observing trainer development sessions and monitor performance for new trainers, experienced trainers and high potential trainers to ensure personal development and retention

  • Who will consult with operations teams regarding best practices to integrate into warehouse training programs

  • Monitoring and auditing performance of warehouse training teams. Leverage data to analyze and assess impact of training and development programs, and taking action as necessary for improvements

  • Participating in the development, testing and implementation of new training programs for warehouse teams

  • Ability to work effectively with site leaders, training leader, HR, and EHS representatives to achieve common goals of improving training graduation, reducing trainee turnover, and improving safety

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of training experience, including the ability to demonstrate an understanding of adult learning styles and strategies

  • 2-5 years of high-volume warehouse experience, military experience or other skill-based work

  • 5-7 years in a leadership role with demonstrated ability to influence others

  • Highly motivated, creative and enthusiastic team player with a passion for training

  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing priorities

  • Flexible with the ability to handle change in a positive manner

  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills, conflict resolution, and employee relations skills

  • Instructional design experience is highly desired but not required
