Position Overview
The driver helper position is responsible for assisting the driver with unloading the merchandise to grocery stores and convenience stores.
Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
Unloading Orders from Truck
Unloading on Return to Warehouse
Unloading Truck:
Pallets are unwrapped, unless the entire pallet is to be delivered to the store.
Un-wrapped pallets can consist of all types of products stacked 5-7ft high.
Driver helper assists with unloading the pallet per order using pallet jack and/or dolly loaded with appropriate items.
Remaining product is loaded back on truck for delivery at next stop.
Operate sit down forklift on occasion as needed.
Load and unload ramp if necessary with dolly.
All other duties as assigned.
Unload on Return to Warehouse :
Driver helper assists with removal of all returned product and empty totes.
Pallets removed by pallet jack or fork-lift.
All other duties as assigned.
