C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. Help Desk Rep III in Robesonia, Pennsylvania

Position Overview

This position supports all Retail Technology Services programs available to C&S customers in a manner that achieves established goals, supports the C&S business philosophy, and supports profitability objectives of C&S. Provides support services and limited training to C&S Retail Technology Services customers through the department’s Help Desk. This position is also responsible for front-line support of Retail Technology Services software and hardware, including problem determination and troubleshooting.

Job Description

  • Requires the ability to articulately and effectively communicate and instruct retailers in the use of both computer software and hardware.

  • Requires the ability to answer user questions and troubleshoot problems on a variety of software.

  • Requires the ability to provide support for computer hardware and networking.

  • Responsible for testing software problems reported by customers.

  • Must also be able to assist with the department’s inventory control and billing in an accurate, detailed, and timely manner.

  • Requires the ability to provide appropriate recommendations to customers which will allow them to remain technologically up-to-date.

  • Demands a thorough understanding of current computer technology including operating systems, networking, and hardware.

  • A thorough understanding of front-end scanning systems, office accounting, and retail operations is also required.

  • Demands an understanding of the importance of accuracy, neatness, and timely completion of work.

  • Requires the ability to interact with customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner at all times.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) or work experience equivalent; Field of Study: Computer Science or Related field.

Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience in a customer help desk environment.

  • 1+ years of experience in the retail technology industry.

  • Knowledge of supermarket operations is helpful.

Computer Skills:

Knowledge of RORC systems including software that interfaces to RORC. Knowledge of networking, systems, hardware, and front end scanning systems desired.

Certifications &

Licenses:

Driver's License required for travel to customer sites.

Office - this position is full-time M-F in office
